Welcome to the Domaine de Goncourt website ! The lakes are situated in the heart of the Champagne region only a couple hours away from the European capital cities. We welcome you to live unforgettable fishing moments at le Domaine de Goncourt between March to the end of October. The carp is here the king of all fish and their unique strain will fill your cameras with very special images. There are three lakes to go for, each having their own unique attraction, the woods lake with its wild island is situated on the edge of a lush forest, the Lake de La Traque provides plenty of action from carp lurking below the overhanging willows and the Great Lake will rejoice lovers of big heavily scaled mirrors. Here all is set for you to enjoy your fishing holiday in the best conditions.

Woods Lake

Situated alongside the Champagne forest, the Woods Lake is a gravel pit that was excavated in 1987, its surface covers 7 hectares. In its center stands a lovely wild island, wildlife, relaxing and catching plenty of fish are the order of the day. The carp are present in numbers with commons, mirrors, leathers and some stunning big koi awaiting your visit...

Lac de la Traque

Gravière de la Traque with 11 swims for 7 anglers offers superb French fishing for genuine home grown carp. Its horseshoe shape ensures that every angler has his own part of the lake to himself whilst the others are never far away for a good social. The lake is easy fishing with catches of 10+ fish a day per person not uncommon. Enjoy the bobbins action with a very fair chance of a real biggie during the course of a weeks fishing. The lake contains plenty of thirties (8 per acre) and enough 40lb commons to keep the most ambitious angler happy. At La Traque a fishing holiday may be enjoyed by all without busting the piggy bank for the rest of the season.

The Great Lake

The Great Lake, has 18 swims (12 anglers max) spread out around this 50+ acre gravel pit. If it is fully scaled and linears that you after this is the ultimate place. 1 out of 10 fish is a 30lb+, most being caught in the margins or off the weedbeds spread around the lake. The fully scaled record stands at 44lb here and there are a few around that size ! The place is a revelation in terms of fish beauty, the lake itself with its grassy but firm banks is fairly barren but the quality of fishing more than compensates ! Catch a glimpse of one of those beauties and you are hooked for life.
